GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
Join our network to support our mission to integrate UN Refugees and Asylum Seekers into the Tucson Community.
Your generosity from now until December 3rd will enable us to provide opportunities for these new residents to combat social isolation, to practice their English, to learn how to get around Tucson and make new friends. Refugees receive additional food items, household goods, clothes, bicycles, hygiene articles, schools supplies. We are able to connect our refugees and asylum seekers friends to resources, allowing them to gain a sense of place and community.

Our volunteers are at the heart of Iskashitaa's mission, harvesting, distributing, preserving, and educating the community about the food we save, all while fostering an empowering environment for incoming refugees. Our programs span a range of topic areas all working to end food injustice and foster self-reliance and we embrace diverse skill sets and experiences. Each week, Iskashitaa’s dedicated team of refugee and local volunteers harvests produce from backyards, commercial properties, and farms throughout Southern Arizona. We're here to help you share your surplus produce with our network of refugees and hunger relief organizations across the state! Do you have a tree we can harvest? Request a harvest down below!
